Flashbots is an R&D organization and suite of tools designed to address the challenges of Maximal Extractable Value (MEV) by enabling transparent and permissioned access for searchers, validators, and users. Their core products include MEV-Boost, which helps validators access bundled transactions called bundles, and Flashbots Auction, which facilitates sealed-bid auctions for block inclusion. Flashbots aim to reduce negative externalities of MEV such as chain reorgs, front-running, and excessive fees, while sharing MEV revenue ethically.
