Stealth Address
Also known as: One-Time Address, Private Receiving Address, Hidden Wallet Address
A privacy feature that allows users to receive crypto without exposing their public address on-chain.
A stealth address is a cryptographic technique that allows a user to receive payments through one-time, unlinkable addresses derived from their public key. It enhances privacy by ensuring that each transaction appears to go to a different address, even though the recipient remains the same. Widely used in privacy-focused blockchains like Monero and in stealth drop implementations, stealth addresses prevent third parties from easily tracking a user's holdings or activity. They’re often combined with other privacy tools like ring signatures and confidential transactions.
