Claim (Airdrop/Proof Claim)
Also known as: Token Redemption, Eligibility Proof, Verifiable Reward
The action of redeeming tokens, credentials, or rewards based on proof of eligibility or prior activity.
A claim in blockchain refers to the process of asserting and redeeming a right to an on-chain asset or privilege, such as tokens from an airdrop, voting rights, or verifiable credentials. Claims often require proof—like signatures, Merkle proofs, or eligibility criteria tracked on-chain. For example, users might claim tokens by signing a message or proving wallet ownership. In decentralized identity (DID) systems, claims represent attestations from issuers. The ability to claim assets or access depends on cryptographic proofs and smart contract logic ensuring security and fairness.
